Syed Asim Hussain, Founder of Black Sheep Restaurants

Asim founded Black Sheep Restaurants in 2012, becoming one of the most prolific innovators at the forefront of Hong Kong’s ever-evolving culinary scene. Black Sheep Restaurants curates distinct dining experiences that tell a story about a particular time, place, culture or cuisine.

In December 2018, Asim became the world’s youngest restaurateur to hold two MICHELIN Stars when BELON and New Punjab Club were honoured with one MICHELIN Star each. Both restaurants retained their MICHELIN Stars in the 2019 announcement.

In 2020, Black Sheep Restaurants shared its COVID-19 Playbook in support of the hospitality industry devastated by the global pandemic. It has been shared from Argentina to Australia, picked up by businesses and governments beyond the hospitality world, and translated into five languages.

Avinash Bharwaney, Kids4Kids Advocates Leadership Team Alumnus & Executive Trainee at Jardine Matheson Group

Avi stumbled upon Kids4kids through its Powered by Youth Forum when he was 13 years old. Greatly inspired at the event, he ended up participating regularly at Kids4Kids events throughout his secondary school years. Eventually, he joined the Advocates Leadership Team for two years, and as President for his final one. Kids4Kids left a lasting impact on him and he is glad to be back supporting alumni coordination initiatives.

He graduated in 2020 from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Global Business and Finance.
